I’m Paul Taylor. I’m running for the North Carolina Senate because District 21 deserves a senator who listens, shows up, and works for the people who live here — not just the powerful.

Why I'm Running

Real change doesn’t start in Raleigh — it starts by listening at home. I’m running because too many families in Cumberland County are working hard but still struggling to afford housing, build stability, and be heard by their government.

I believe government should work for everyday people — and I want to bring your voices with me to the Senate.

Who I Am

I’m a veteran, community organizer, and advocate for fairness and opportunity. After serving my country in the military, I returned home with a commitment to serve my community with the same dedication.

I’ve worked directly with families facing eviction, supported neighbors experiencing homelessness, and helped delay evictions during the moratorium so families could find stability and time to breathe.

These experiences shape how I lead — with empathy, accountability, and action.

From Advocacy to Effective Leadership

I believe advocacy matters — and so does effective lawmaking. As your state senator, my focus will be turning lived experience into practical solutions that strengthen District 21 and give working families a fair shot.

My Priorities for District 21

  • Expanding access to affordable and stable housing

  • Supporting economic opportunity for working families

  • Ensuring government listens to and works for everyday people
